The First Bitcoin Transaction by Satoshi to Hal Finney

First Bitcoin Transaction Hash

Let’s see one of Satoshi’s BTC Addresses before the first transaction.

While Bitcoin is more than 10 years already, in 2009, the Bitcoin originator, Satoshi Nakamoto-Wikipedia – mined the first 50 bitcoins and which marked the beginning of the Bitcoin payment network known as the Blockchain.

That is a peer-to-peer payment network where crypto users send and receive bitcoins.

See Satoshi’s Bitcoin Wallet address below which was one of Satoshi’s BTC addresses before the first Transaction to the first recipient.

Just 10 days after the first Genesis block was mined known as “Block number 264”, 50 Bitcoin from 13 January 2009 was sent to the recipient wallet below.

The First Bitcoin Transaction Sent

Crypto works in a peer-to-peer system, the first Bitcoin Transaction recipient was speculated to be Hal Finney because according to him, he said.

When Satoshi announced the first release of the software, I grabbed it right away. I think I was the first person besides Satoshi to run bitcoin. I mined block 70-something, and I was the recipient of the first bitcoin transaction when Satoshi sent ten coins to me as a test. I carried on an email conversation with Satoshi over the next few days, mostly me reporting bugs and him fixing them.

Much assertions about Hal Finney being the first Bitcoin recipient is due to the fact that he got his start in crypto working on an early version of PGP, working closely with Phil Zimmermann.

When Phil decided to start PGP Corporation, Hal Finney was one of the first hires.

He would later work on PGP until his retirement. At the same time, he got involved with the Cypherpunks.

He ran the first cryptographically based anonymous remailer, among other activities.

In his words, he said, today, Satoshi’s true identity has become a mystery. But at the time, I thought I was dealing with a young man of Japanese ancestry who was very smart and sincere. I’ve had the good fortune to know many brilliant people over the course of my life, so I recognize the signs.

Additionally, Finney mentioned satoshi to be a young and hardworking guy.

Who Owns Bitcoin and the Aftermath?

Since the Bitcoin network is always opened to everyone to see, in the year 2013, crypto users started to send in a tip to the wallet.

While some said they were appreciating Satoshi Nakamoto for what he did, some said “it’s good luck to tip The Satoshi via the Wisdom Well” 😀

The truth is, not only has that coin not been spent, it has received nearly a dozen “tips”, adding more than .11 BTC to its balance.

And surprisingly, the 50 BTC hasn’t been spent since then.

In the first days *Bitcoins* were only a set of numbers that grew . . . nobody thought that it would have great success.

But today, we’ve seen many crypto millionaires and Billionaires, so, it is now a deal-breaker to own some crypto, invest in crypto, or trade crypto and make money as an enthusiast.
